OUR STRATEGY
The Company intends to become a globally significant producer of nickel in the form of ferronickel as well as nickel and cobalt sulphate. The strategy is to continue to progress the development of the 100% owned CAS project. The Company also evaluates on an ad hoc basis with a view to eventual acquisition, exploration and development of mineral projects in jurisdictions in which it holds a presence, and/or in sectors in which management has expertise.
The exploration and mining business is controlled by a number of global factors, principally supply and demand which in turn is a key driver in global metal prices; these factors are beyond the control of the Company. At every stage of the exploration process the projects are rigorously reviewed, both internally and by qualified third party consultants to determine if the results justify the next stage of exploration expenditure, ensuring that funds are only applied to high priority targets.
The Company’s licenses and operations are located in foreign jurisdictions. As a result, the Company is subject to political, economic and other uncertainties. Australia is the current focus of the Company’s activity and offers stable political frameworks and actively supports foreign investment. It has a well-developed exploration and mining code with proactive support for foreign companies.

Ownership of or access to associated infrastructure required to operate the above plants including o Gas Power plant o Water extraction, distribution and desalination facilities o Sealed access roads o Ready access to local Kalgoorlie community and services

Geological and Exploration
- Significant landholding with over 500Mt of drill defined resource base at a nickel grade of 0.74% Ni and 0.03% Co, most ore types can be beneficiated to higher grades by excluding waste. Additional resources expected at Siberia-Canegrass in areas of limited drilling. Combined drilling database of over 18,000 drill holes and 40,000 grade control holes. Mining history at all sites. Understanding of all ore types and processing options. Variety of leaching options from in situ dump, tank, autoclave. Ability to produce a variety of nickel cobalt products from intermediate products to LME grade nickel at SX/EW plant. Plant can treat 3rd party ore types, eg difficult to process transitional sulphide ores concentrates. Replacement cost of processing plants, mining infrastructure and drilling in excess of $2 Billion.

CAWSE
- Mining at Cawse mined ore from pits at Bunyip, Phoenix, Pegasus, Orc, Unicorn, Romulus, Typhon, Phantom, Medusa, Faun, and Argus between 1998 and 2008. A total of 34.6 million bcm of material has been mined at Cawse. Completed pits have been used for tailings disposal.
AVALON
- Pits at Pinta, Federal, Boulder Block (now outside of held tenure), Albion, Criterion, Foundry, Australian, Mt Lyall, Golden Eagle, and Gala. Mostly free dig.
SIBERIA
- Pits at Gulch, Linger and Die, SM7. Pits at Siberia (SM7, Linger and Die, Patch, and Gulch) were mined for nickel/cobalt/silica ore to be used as a flux at the KNS.

NICKEL
Nickel is a key base metal for building sustainable societies due to its use in stainless steel and new battery technology. Its multiple physical and chemical properties make it essential in thousands of products from mobile phones to medical equipment and from wind turbines to batteries.
THE NICKEL MARKET
Demand
The nickel market is a US$20+ billion per year industry. Today’s market is dominated by stainless steel with over two thirds of total production used in its production. However, nickel is a critical component in new battery technology used in electric vehicles. This section of the market is forecast to grow significantly over the coming years, and will reshape the nickel industry over the coming decades.
According to the World Bank report “Minerals for Climate Action: The Mineral Intensity for the Clean Energy Transition” the production of minerals such as nickel and cobalt, could increase by nearly 500% by 2050, to meet the growing demand for clean energy technologies. As the world moves to realize a lower-carbon future there will be a substantial increase in demand for several key minerals and metals to manufacture cleaner energy technologies. The clean energy transition will be significantly mineral intensive - nickel intensive.

Supply
The world’s nickel resources are currently estimated at almost 300 million tonnes. Australia, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia and Canada account for more than 50% of the global nickel resources. Over two million tonnes of new or primary nickel are produced and used annually in the world, mined in more than 25 countries worldwide.

The Company believes there has been a significant under-investment in the sector and as a result there is a very limited pipeline of new projects due to come on line in the near term. Greenfield nickel projects take a 8-10 years to move from exploration through to production. Furthermore, research from UBS estimates only 26 of 41 advanced stage nickel projects deliver 15% IRR at long term nickel price of US$20k/t.

Nickle Ore Deposits
There are two main types of nickel ore deposits: sulphides and laterites. Many investors are of the view that sulphide deposits are easier to process (and therefore cheaper) as they require less energy to operate. Although nickel sulphide operations were historically cheaper on an operating cost basis, this is no longer the case. Over the past three years, nickel laterite operations have been cheaper to operate on average than nickel sulphide operations, and we expect that trend to continue.

STAINLESS STEEL
Approximately two thirds of global nickel production is used to produce stainless steel. Ferronickel is preferred by stainless steel mills due to its iron content. Nickel-containing materials play a major role in our everyday lives, including food preparation equipment, mobile phones, medical equipment, transport, buildings, power generation. Nickel-containing materials are selected because - compared with other materials - they offer better corrosion resistance, better toughness, better strength at high and low temperatures, and a range of special magnetic and electronic properties.
Stainless Steel is a reliable, steady growth market that has continued to grow ~4% year on year. Global stainless output is forecast to rise by a CAGR of 2.5% over the 2020-2040 period. China’s steel demand is expected to increase by 8% in 2022, aided by government infrastructure stimulus and a strong property market. China's strong recovery which continues at a steady pace, suggests positive GDP growth in 2022. This strong recovery in China will mitigate the reduction in global steel demand, due to the Covid pandemic.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Battery Technology
The emergence of electric vehicles (EVs) is set to revolutionise the world of transportation and coincidentally, transform the nickel market. The EV market is growing rapidly. EV sales jumped from 450,000 in 2015 to 2.1M in 2020 and is forecast to increase to 54M by 2040. EV share of total vehicle sales is still small but rising fast. By 2040, over half of all passenger vehicles sold will be electric. In 2020, Europe overtook China as the largest EV market for the first time ever. This was driven by European governments increasing EV subsidies and investment in EV infrastructure.
EV pioneer, Tesla is working to increase this penetration at a faster rate by producing cheaper and more energy efficient models. Tesla’s new battery technology is enabled by nickel. Nickel is the cheapest battery metal with the highest energy density. The advancements in battery technology is moving towards an 80% nickel battery cell. This will result in the share of global nickel demand taken by EVs increasing from 4% in 2018 to 31% in 2040.

Supply of raw materials is the biggest constraint on the market. Increasing activity in OEM offtake agreements with miners to help them get financed, expected. Tesla’s ambitions of 3 terawatt hours of capacity by 2030 would soak up 2Mt of nickel. According to Bloomberg, EV battery and carmakers, such as Tesla, are concerned about the nickel supply chain. The demand for high purity nickel is due to outstrip supply within the next five years. Logistek Pacific believes this surge in demand for Class 1 nickel could lead to significant price rises in the nickel commodity over the next 5-10 years.
Logistek Pacific’s nickel cobalt project is being developed to feed into the EV battery market. One of the largest nickel resources of its kind, Logistek Pacific’s own experiences on CAS confirmed the resources suitability to produce an end-product suitable for EV battery producers.
